Colorado Native Plants & Seeds

Native Species Consultations

Rocky Mountain Wilds consults with landscsape architects and project designers on the selection of native plant species for use in restoration and landscape projects.

Site-Specific Seed Collection

We maintain a ten-acre seed production farm in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Also we contract seed drilling, harvesting and cleaning equipment for large-scale seed increase projects.

Custom Contract Growing

Rocky Mountain Wilds operates a two-acre nursery and propagation facility in the City of Santa Cruz. On a contract basis we grow native plants for restoration, revegetation, agricultural and landscape applications. We have expertise in propagation plant species from coastal bluff, grassland, riparian, wetland and woodland habitats. All of our native seeds and plants are produced in accordance with the Organic Foods Act of 1990.

Native Grass & Wildflower Seed

Rocky Mountain Wilds specifies and sells custom native wildflower and native grass seed mixes. We do not sell standard wildflower mixes ("the meadow in a can"). These standard mixes often contain natives and non-natives, and many include weedy species. "Adapted to the California" is not the same as native to the California.
